Schedulicity announced in April its #SchedulicityCares business grant, to award $5,000 to two active Schedulicity businesses each month.
On May 9, Schedulicity’s CEO Jerry Nettuno surprised Compton, California barbershop owner Donald (DC) Conley with a large check totaling $5,000. DC is the first barber to be awarded the grant and plans to put the $5,000 towards creating a safe place in his barbershop for the children of Compton. This space will allow children to successfully complete their homework and safely spend time with their peers when they are not in school.
DC was brought to tears following the surprise, knowing that he soon will be able to provide the children of Compton with a safe place they not only deserve, but can be proud of thanks to the #SchedulicityCares grant.
Schedulicity was honored to have been part of this experience, as it is their mission to help their community of business owners become successful entrepreneurs.
The company will be awarding more grants to business owners within their community every month, so keep an eye out. For more information on #SchedulicityCares, visit the Schedulicity blog.
